GSA and ExxonMobil are excited to announce a new Field Seminar in the Bighorn Basin of north-central Wyoming, which will emphasize multi-disciplinary integrated basin analysis.
GSA aims to enhance its educational program by offering a seminar concerning certain geologic aspects of the Bighorn Basin of Montana and Wyoming. The Bighorn Basin Field Program seeks to energize and enhance the education of geology students and faculty by introducing them to the breadth and challenges of integrated basin mineral exploration.

Each August, selected students and faculty will participate in this field program, with all expenses covered including hotel, airfare, and meals. Students and faculty are eligible, but preference will be given to graduate students.
The application period will be open 1 January - 15 February. Your complete application will consist of an online resume, one letter of recommendation, academic transcripts, and a cover letter indicating your background, your plans for the future and how you feel this trip will help you accomplish these plans.
