Geological Society of America (GSA)- Archaeological Geology Division (AGD)

The Archaeological Geology Division of the Geological Society of America was organized to provide a forum for presentation of papers on archaeological geology and discussion of related problems, to stimulate research and teaching in archaeological geology, and to act as an organized group in promoting these objectives within the framework of the Geological Society of America. The 2014 annual GSA meeting will be held in Vancouver, BC, Canada, 19-22 October. Please click here for AGD-sponsored technical sessions.

The Archaeological Geology Division 2014 Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony will be held from 5:15-7:00 pm on Monday, October 20, 2014, in Vancouver Convention Centre-West 122. Congratulations to our 2014 Awardees: Brendan S. Fenerty (Indiana University) will recieve the Claude Allbritton, Jr. Award, Emily J. Bevery (Baylor University) will recieve the Richard Hay Student Paper Award, and Dr. William R. Dickinson (University of Arizona) will recieve the Rip Rapp Archaeological Geology Award at the business meeting and awards ceremony-- We hope to see you there!
