Submit Your EarthCache™ Site
Please fill out the information below regarding your EarthCache™ site after reading the Submittal Guidelines. Once you are finished, click on the "Submit cache" button at the bottom of the page to send it to the Geological Society of America for review. You will receive a confirmation if your EarthCache site was successfully submitted.
To meet the Earthcache guidelines and be approved, your EarthCache MUST:
- contain thorough educational information for the visitor about the earth science of the site.
- contain an educational task that is related to the EarthCache site/lesson. Posting a photograph or mentioning a word or number from a sign does not meet these guidelines because it does not show that learning has occurred. We suggest asking people to answer an earth science related question or have them undertake some form of measurement as the logging requirement. Please see the submittal guidelines (link) for more information about this logging requirement.
- have received appropriate permission from the land owner or manager to place an EarthCache site on the land. For your EarthCache to be approved, you must list this information in the form below.
- not leave any items, box, or physical cache at the site.
It is also the responsibility of the cache developer to seek and receive permission from the land-owner or manager to place an EarthCache site on any land. For your EarthCache to be approved, you must list this information in the form below.
Always keep a backup of your cache information.
