Cover Photo
Send in your striking image for the cover of Geology!
We need color photos or other color images to use on the cover of Geology. We're looking for images that are vivid, captivating, and artistic-models, photos, micrographs, etc. Use the GEOLOGY cover to showcase your innovative research! GEOLOGY is an international journal with wide media coverage.
You don't have to have an article in GEOLOGY to submit a cover photo. Images must be of high technical quality (preferably vertical format), tell an interesting geologic story, and must not have recognizable people. Submit one color print, at least 5" x 7", and a color slide or transparency. Please supply a short caption that explains the geologic interest of the photo. The caption must include a credit line acknowledging the creator of the image. Note that cover photos are not considered as part of an article published in Geology; if a cover image is related to an article in that issue, the only reference to that fact is in the caption for the cover.
