Purpose
The mission of the division is to bring together scientists interested in Quaternary geology and geomorphology, to facilitate presentation and discussion of their problems and ideas, to promote research and publication of results in those fields of geology, and to advise and assist the officers and committees of the Society in matters pertaining to Quaternary geology and geomorphology.

Message from the Chair
The chair would appreciate any comments you might have on QG&G issues raised.  Please forward any comments or ideas to the Webmaster (dennis.dahms@uni.edu).  All comments will be posted here.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS!
The vitality of the division rests on the shoulders of volunteers
willing to serve as members of the management board and division panel. Every spring, we run a contested ballot for the position of 2nd vice chair and 3 panel positions. The 2nd vice chair is an ascending position, in which the incumbent in subsequent years becomes the 1st vice chair and then chair. Panel members serve a 2 year term (3 annual meetings). By mid-January, we need to have identified a slate of 2 candidates for the 2nd vice chair position and 6 candidates for the panel positions. See the QGG section of the GSA website for a full list of duties for these positions. Please consider a self nomination for one of these positions, or nominating someone as a potential candidate. Send nominations (including contact information) to Jon Major (jjmajor@usgs.gov), Division secretary, by December 15.
