Northeastern Section
Region
In the United States:
The District of Columbia and the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont
In Canada:
The provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and that part of Ontario east of the 89th meridian.
The Northeastern Section was founded by the Council of the Geological Society of America in April 1965.

The GSA Foundation has awarded $4,500 to each of the six GSA sections. The Northeastern Section offers Undergraduate Research Grants as well as Student Travel Grants. Please contact the Section Secretary for more information.
