Section Officers

North-Central Section

Region:

Illinois, Indiana, Iowa Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Wisconsin, Province of Manitoba and that portion of the Province of Ontario west of the 89th meridian.

In 1966, the North-Central Section was established by the Council of the Geological Society of America to expand section coverage for all of the United States and Canada.

Grants

The GSA Foundation has awarded $4,500 to each of the six GSA sections. The money, when combined with additional funds from the sections, is used to assist both undergraduate and graduate student members of GSA with research and travel. Please contact the Section Secretary for more information.
