Note from GSA's Meetings Director
GSA regrets that scheduling conflicts associated with changing the meeting venue (from Chicago to Houston) resulted in meeting dates overlapping with Yom Kippur on 9 October 2008. We hope those who observe the holiday will still be able to attend most of the meeting. |

Research by Hurwitz et al. suggesting that several years of drought may have added a minute or two to the eruption cycle of Old Faithful geyser (GEOLOGY, June 2008) was picked up by AP, receiving coverage across the U.S., including in USA Today and Newsday and on Fox News and Discovery Channel.
