Position Description:
The Mojave Desert Network Inventory and Monitoring Program (MOJN I&M) seeks a GIP with interest and experience in surface water hydrology. The primary duty of the participant will be to work with the MOJN I&M hydrologist to process continuous streamflow records (hydrographs) for mountain streams in Great Basin National Park. This will involve stage corrections, rating curve development, the application of rating curve shifts, and record computation. In addition, the participant will assist with other hydrological monitoring tasks including occasional field work in other parks in the Mojave Desert Network. This position is offered through the Geological Society of America's GeoCorps America Program in partnership with the National Park Service’s Geoscientists-in-the-Parks Program.
