Position Description:
The Mesa Verde National Park paleontology participant will provide scientific and technical support involving the diverse paleontological resources at the park. This position will assist with a wide range of paleontological resource management activities including: inventory, monitoring, research, curation, protection, interpretation, etc. The paleontology participant will participate in both field and office research related activities. All work and activities will be documented and the associated data and photographs will be incorporated into the park's and NPS paleontological archives. Additionally, all work will be accomplished in accordance with NPS policies and guidelines. This position is offered through the Geological Society of America’s GeoCorps America Program in partnership with the National Park Service’s Geoscientists-in-the-Parks (GIP) Program.
