You do not need to be a civil engineer or have road design experience to apply. Specifics are detailed in the Project goals section, later. As time and interest allows, the technician will also design flood protection structures for installation in wilderness areas, participate in river surveys, and perform glacier field work. Responsibilities: (1) Document ALL volunteer work, denoting hours and dates worked. Submit VIP signup sheets to supervisor at end of each project. (3) Work with proper equipment in a safe, sane manner at all times. Safety First! Time Commitment: Equivalent 40 hours week. Training: On-the-job training; safety procedure session; other training as designated by supervisor.
