Position Description:
The GeoCorps participant will work with staff from the park, West Virginia University (WVU), Temple University and Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MD DNR) to support ongoing research to evaluate threats to karst-RTE sites and prioritize sites for protection. He/she will work on a Cave Management Plan based on data collected as part of this research. As necessary, the participant may be asked to support field work or other geoscience work happening in the Division of Resource Management. Duties will include but not be limited to: develop the framework for a Cave Management Plan based on similar products produced by other NPS Units, assist with field work/data collection,increase the content/scope of educational programs, and develop materials for the park website
