(B) Thin section micrograph (plane light) showing porosity (in blue) and partially weathered biotite (b) and plagioclase (p). Primary minerals predominate, and very little clay has been produced by weathering. Saprock maintains rock texture (C), but is easily crushed in bare hands (D).
