About the cover:
The Geological Society of America building at 3300 Penrose Place, Boulder, Colorado, USA: 1973 and today (bottom photo by Eric Christensen). The building was designed by Everett & Zeigel Architects and completed in 1972. It received the Award of Excellence from the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Concrete Institute that year. Inset (courtesy of Tim Ray, Vantage Point Imagery): GSA’s 66-kilowatt solar-panel system was installed on the roof in October 2010.
