About the cover:
Color-shaded relief map with simplified tectonic units of eastern Asia. Since the Late Cretaceous, lithosphere extension was induced by the subduction of the western Pacific or Philippine plate. The Dabie and Sulu orogens contain the largest ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic belt in the world as a result of the convergence between the North and South China blocks during the Late Paleozoic–Triassic. See related article, p. 4–10.
