Committee Charge:

Develops statement of stratigraphic principles, recommends procedures applicable to classification and nomenclature of stratigraphic and related units, reviews problems in classifying and naming stratigraphic and related unites, and formulates expressions of judgment on these matters.

Committee Requirements:

GSA has three representatives (commissioners) each year and one representative-elect.

Meetings and Time Commitment:

The term is for three years. Service terminates and commences at the end of the NACSN annual meeting which is held during GSA's Annual Meeting. The representative-elect takes office one year following his/her appointment.
