2020 Outstanding Earth-
Science Teacher Awards
The National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) has announced the 2020 Outstanding Earth-Science Teacher (OEST)
Awards. This annual award recognizes excellence in earth-science teaching at the pre-college level. GSA awards the section recipients
US$700 in travel money to attend a GSA meeting and complimentary membership in GSA for three years. State winners receive a

J. David Lowell Field Camp
Scholarships
GSA and the GSA Foundation are proud to announce that
J. David Lowell Field Camp Scholarships will be available to
undergraduate geology students for the summer of 2021. These
scholarships will provide students with US$2,000 each to attend
the field camp of their choice. Applications are reviewed based
on diversity, economic/financial need, and merit.
