RESEARCH ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
MICROPALEONTOLOGY, DEPARTMENT
OF GEOLOGICAL SCIENCES

The Department of Geological Sciences, University
of Florida in association with the Florida Museum of
Natural History, invites applications for a Research
Assistant Professor with expertise in micropale-
ontology, especially Foraminifera. The successful
candidate will be expected to improve the strati-
graphic and systematic microfossil collections at
the Florida Museum of Natural History, develop
independent research projects utilizing those collec-
tions, and teach one undergraduate paleontology
course and one other course as appropriate per
academic year. This is a twelve-month, full-time,
non-tenure track position. It is renewable annually
upon successful review, with an expected maximum
term of three years. A Ph.D. in geology or a closely
related field is required. The salary is competitive
and commensurate with qualifications and experi-
ence, and includes a full benefits package.
