STRUCTURAL GEOLOGIST
STEPHEN F. AUSTIN STATE UNIVERSITY
The Department of Geology at Stephen F. Austin
State University invites applications for a tenure-
track position at the assistant (or associate) profes-
sor level. Applicants must have a doctoral degree
in geology or a related field with emphasis on
structural geology and field camp, a strong com-
mitment to excellence in teaching and a willing-
ness to direct Master of Science geology students
in research. Preference will be given to candidates
with structural geology and field camp teaching
and/or research experience. Teaching responsibili-
ties for structural geology will include introduc-
tory courses, upper-level and graduate courses in
the applicant’s specialty, and occasional weekend
field-trip courses. Teaching responsibilities for
field camp will include teaching or co-teaching
field methods in the spring semester and co-
teaching summer field camp. Other expectations
include research, university service and continu-
ing professional development.
