Membership Renewal: A Great Time to
Give to the GSA Foundation
Thousands of GSA members make their annual gift to the GSA
Foundation when renewing their membership. In 2014, 92%
(4,396) of the gifts received by the GSA Foundation were made
during membership renewal.
The Foundation works closely with GSA staff to streamline the
membership renewal donation process. The Voluntary Donation
section of the renewal form describes two current GSA priorities.
The online renewal form also provides a comprehensive list of all
GSA Foundation funds. Members may make gifts to up to three
funds. The collective impact of renewal gifts is substantial. We
hope the combination of convenience and choice inspires you to
support a favorite GSA program or priority when you renew your
GSA membership this fall.

Greatest Needs Fund = Greatest Opportunity
Flexible. Efficient. Strategic. These terms describe how gifts to
the Greatest Needs Fund help GSA respond to new opportuni-
ties and expand effective programs. Resources provided by
Greatest Needs gifts are critical to helping GSA advance its
strategic priorities.
On To the Future Fund—GSA’s Grassroots
Diversity Initiative
The On To the Future Program (OTF) addresses GSA’s strategic
commitment to building a diverse geoscience community by
engaging groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the
geosciences. Your support provides partial travel scholarships
and meeting registration to undergraduate and graduate
students to attend their first GSA Annual Meeting. Learn more

In addition to the Greatest Needs or On To the Future funds,
you may also elect to support any fund held by the Foundation.
