While GSA has delayed its plan to make the journals open access (see Open Access,
p. 50, this issue), all GSA memberships will include free online subscriptions to Geology
beginning in January 2017. Print subscriptions will continue to be available for a fee.

In the meantime, GSA will continue its hybrid open-access approach, which includes
gold (author pays) immediate open access and 12-month green (repository) open access.

To browse a list of open-access articles and book chapters, go to www.gsapubs.org/
cgi/collection/gsa-oa. In addition, GSA Today, book front matter and all Geology Research
