“We’d like to encourage organizers and conveners of topical
sessions at the GSA Annual Meeting and other scientific meetings
to serve as guest editors of special thematic issues that would
include high-quality papers presented in their respective topical
sessions,” said E&EG co-editor Brian Katz. A session organizer
may want to consider, for example, writing a review paper on a
special topic and inviting other authors to contribute manuscripts
based on their presentations.
